07:30 Transfer to Tram Ton Pass. Board the vehicle for a scenic drive to Tram Ton Pass, the official gateway to Hoang Lien Son National Park. The winding mountainside roads offer breathtaking views of endless terraced fields blanketed in the morning mist—a iconic masterpiece of the Northwest. Upon arrival, the team will complete registration procedures with the National Park Management Board.

09:00 Hit the trail. The expedition to conquer the Roof of Indochina officially commences. The trek kicks off through ancient forest trails before opening up to a vast, gentle path that winds along flat mountain ridges.

12:00 Lunch Break at 2,200m. Enjoy a well-deserved rest stop and a hearty lunch at an altitude of 2,200m. Surrounded by the pristine, fresh air of the deep forest, the group will recharge with a simple yet nourishing meal for the next leg of the journey.

13:00 Trekking to Higher Altitudes. Resume the climb as the trail becomes more challenging with steeper inclines and moss-covered, slippery terrain. The landscape gradually shifts here, as the dense forest canopy gives way to alpine vegetation, signaling your ascent into higher altitudes.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Trekking Route & Logistics

This expedition features a diverse yet manageable terrain, making it one of the most accessible routes among Vietnam’s top 10 highest peaks. Although Fansipan holds the title of the "Roof of Indochina," the Tram Ton route offers a well-established and less technical path to the summit.

  • Gear & Packing: We highly recommend carrying a lightweight daypack (10L - 20L) weighing no more than 2kg for your trail essentials, such as a wallet, phone, and personal hydration.
  • Porter Service: Your main luggage—including change of clothes for the overnight stay, sleeping gear, and daily group supplies—will be fully managed and transported by our professional porter team.

2. Mountain Accommodation

Overnight accommodation is provided at a shared mountain hut. The campsite is equipped with basic restroom and shower facilities. For your comfort, VAH provides each participant with either an insulated sleeping mat or an air mattress, along with a warm blanket or a dedicated sleeping bag suitable for alpine temperatures.

3. Food & Hydration

  • Meals: Dinner at the campsite is freshly prepared on-site by our porter team, showcasing local flavors. Breakfast options typically include fried rice, instant noodles, or pancakes. Lunches along the trail are usually packed or pre-prepared for convenience during the trek.

  • Water Supply: Complimentarily provided daily in the form of safe, sealed bottled water. Each participant is allocated approximately 2 liters of bottled water per day.

  • Hot Beverages: Complimentary hot tea and coffee are available at the campsite before and after every meal.

4. Health & Medical Considerations

Due to the physical demands of high-altitude trekking, individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions or chronic bone and joint issues (particularly regarding knees, ankles, or shoulders) are strongly advised to consult a physician for medical clearance before registering for this expedition.
