Ta Xua Peak is located on the border of two districts: Tram Tau (Yen Bai) and Bac Yen (Son La). Ta Xua Peak is the lowest peak among the ten highest mountains in Vietnam, standing at 2,865 meters. The Ta Xua trekking route, which conquers the Ta Xua dinosaur backbone from the Tram Tau direction, is considered one of the most challenging yet attractive trekking routes in Northern Vietnam. For mountain enthusiasts, the Ta Xua route is a symbol that must be conquered. The long and steep sections, crossing mystical mossy forests, climbing small trails, mountain slopes, and sheer cliffs along the dinosaur backbone... the feeling upon reaching the summit and looking back at the journey you've undertaken is hard to describe; only those passionate about trekking can truly understand this emotion. This is also a famous cloud-hunting destination, filled with countless fascinating experiences waiting for us to explore.

Currently, there is a motorbike path from Cong village to the trekking starting point, significantly shortening the distance compared to before. Therefore, we has designed the Ta Xua Peak conquest program to only require two days of climbing (instead of three days as before and as other travel companies are currently doing).

Highlight

  • Conquering the peak of the 10th highest mountain in Vietnam - 2865m
  • Experiencing the legendary backbone dinosaur
  • Exploring the most mystical mossy forest in Northwest Vietnam
  • Cloud hunting and witnessing a beautiful sunrise at the summit
  • Soaking in hot springs to recover after the trekking trip
