IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Trekking Notes

  • Distance: Approximately 6–7 km (round trip)
  • Terrain: The route follows a combination of well-defined forest trails, rocky paths, shallow stream crossings, and a few short uphill and downhill sections through the pristine rainforest of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Most of the hike is on relatively flat terrain beneath a dense forest canopy, passing through lush tropical vegetation, crystal-clear streams, and secluded valleys that remain largely untouched.
  • Suitability: Suitable for participants with a reasonable level of fitness and anyone who enjoys hiking in a natural environment. No previous trekking experience is required, although participants should be comfortable walking on uneven ground and navigating occasional rocky or slippery sections. Recommended for ages 10 and above.
  • Safety Notes: Wear sturdy trekking shoes with good grip and lightweight, quick-drying clothing suitable for humid conditions. Follow your guide's instructions at all times, stay on designated trails, and exercise caution on wet rocks and stream crossings. Insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are highly recommended. The itinerary may be adjusted according to weather and trail conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

2. SUP Caving Notes:

  • Paddling Distance: Approximately 3–4 km (round trip) inside the cave system.
  • Environment:E Cave is an impressive limestone cave stretching approximately 4 km in total length. During this adventure, participants will explore 1.5–2 km of the cave by SUP, offering an unforgettable journey into one of Phong Nha’s hidden underground worlds. The cave entrance is wide and welcoming, opening onto a striking emerald-turquoise lake that reflects the surrounding limestone walls and creates a spectacular first impression. After exploring the cave, you'll have time to relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the lake. As you paddle deeper into the cave, the passage gradually narrows while the ceiling rises dramatically overhead, revealing a breathtaking underground landscape. Beyond the entrance, the cave is enveloped in complete natural darkness, making headlamps essential for navigation and allowing visitors to experience the cave in its most pristine and untouched state.
  • Suitability: Suitable for beginners and intermediate paddlers. Previous SUP experience is not required, but participants should feel comfortable balancing on a paddleboard and paddling at a relaxed pace. Children aged 12 and above can participate under the supervision of a guide.
  • Safety Notes: All participants are provided with a SUP board, paddle, helmet, headlamp, and lifevest. Swimming inside the cave is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Follow your guide's instructions at all times and maintain a safe distance from cave walls and other paddlers.
