IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Notes on the SUP/Kayak Route

  • We will start paddling from Thung Nai to White Cliff at Ngoi Hoa, covering a distance of 4 km. Depending on the time of year, we may paddle with the wind or slightly against it. Before we begin, the guide will instruct on how to paddle and safety precautions regarding the route. You need to wear life jackets and properly attach the leg leash. For first-time SUP paddlers, it's advisable not to stand on the SUP from the starting point. After about 1 to 2 km, if you feel comfortable and confident in the water, you may start to stand up and paddle.
  • While paddling on the lake, paying attention to avoid obstacles such as branches, rocks, etc. Paddling close to the shore and being mindful of motorboats navigating on the lake. We will have a motorboat escorting us throughout the paddling. If you want to use the paddle to maneuver the boat, please inform the guide.
  • If you can swim and have significant paddling experience, you may remove your life jacket and tie it to the SUP, but you must not remove the leg leash.
  • In the case of entering Dragon Eyes Lake, we will walk for about 20-25 minutes along a small trail in the mountains. The path is not difficult, but you need to wear sports shoes or sports sandals (flip-flops are not allowed).

2. Food & Beverages

  • Lunch on the boat (or at the homestay) is quite diverse and includes many "local delicacies of the Muong ethnic group," such as grilled fish, grilled pork, stir-fried and boiled vegetables, etc. If you have dietary restrictions or are vegetarian, please inform our management in advance to prepare suitable meals for you.
  • If you have special dietary needs that we cannot accommodate (for health, medical, or religious reasons), we suggest you prepare your own food.
  • Drinking water will be provided adequately on the vehicle and while paddling. We encourages customers to minimize the use of single-use plastic and nylon products; therefore, we recommend you bring a reusable water bottle to refill from the large bottles we provide.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed while paddling SUP, kayaking, or trekking. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are not included in the meals.

3. Protecting the environment together

  • We supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây
  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, we encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.

4. Medical assistance

  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.
  • In any case, if you go into the water to swim, you must wear a life jacket.
