ITINERARY
Paddle Station Cafe - Silver Wharf - Red River - Long Bien Bridge

* Join-in group Tour: Depending on the weather and the capabilities of the group members, the tour guide will decide whether to paddle according to Option 1 or Option 2.

* Private Tour: Guests can choose either Option 1 or Option 2 based on their personal ability. However, it is recommended to consult with an expert when booking the tour.

 

* Option 1: Silver Wharf - Long Bien Bridge Route

13:00 Boarding the vehicle at the meeting point to go to Bac Wharf, the starting point for SUP paddling.

13:20 Arriving at Silver Wharf. Inflating the SUP, warming up, and listening to instructions from the tour guide.

14:00 Start paddling downstream towards Long Bien Bridge. Taking a break to swim at a riverbank along the way.

17:00 We will dock at a sandbank in the middle of the river to relax and enjoy snacks with some drinks. This is the time to chill while watching the beautiful sunset over the Red River.

18:30 Paddling back to the dock and boarding the vehicle to return to the pickup/drop-off point. End of the tour.

* Note: The paddling distance is 8 km.

 

Option 2: Silver Wharf - Confluence of Red River - Duong River - Doi Co Temple Route

13:00 Boarding the vehicle at the meeting point to go to Silver Wharf, the starting point for SUP paddling.

13:20 Arriving at Silver Wharf. Inflating the SUP, warming up, and listening to instructions from the tour guide.

14:00 Start paddling downstream towards Nhat Tan Bridge.

16:00 Stopping at a riverbank to watch the sunset.

17:30 Paddling back to the dock and boarding the vehicle to return to the pickup/drop-off point. End of the tour.

* Note: The paddling distance is 6 km.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Trekking Notes

  • Distance: The paddling route is approximately 4 to 5 km.
  • Terrain: This is a unique Red River exploration journey. More than just a moderately challenging adventure, it is also a scenic river trip that offers a completely different perspective of Hanoi. One of the highlights of the program is enjoying the sunset along the Red River banks near the historic Long Bien Bridge.
  • Suitability: This route is ideal for most fitness levels, including beginners, Families are welcome, as children aged 6 to 10 can comfortably join this adventure.
  • As the trail is primarily dirt and fairly steep, in case of rain prior to the trip, VAH may arrange an alternative route or activity. Postponement or cancellation of the trekking activity may also be considered depending on weather conditions.

2. SUP Paddling notes.

  • Before getting on the water, you will receive a theoretical briefing covering paddling techniques, equipment usage, and safety instructions.
  • Participants are required to wear a life jacket and a safety leash at all times.
  • While paddling, please pay attention to avoid obstacles such as tree branches, rocks, and other hazards. Stay close to the riverbank and remain alert for motorized boats operating on the river.
  • Strictly follow all instructions given by the tour guide.

3. Responsible Travel & Environmental Protection

  • Leave No Trace: We strictly follow and promote the Leave No Trace principles in all our outdoor programs. We encourage our guests and partners to apply these ethics to minimize our impact on the natural environment. [See details about Leave No Trace here]
  • Reduce Plastic Waste: To limit single-use plastics, we encourage everyone to bring a reusable Reusable bottle (minimum 1L capacity). Refill stations will be provided throughout the trip.
  • Local Regulations: We kindly ask all guests to comply with the specific environmental regulations and instructions provided by our guides at the destination.

4. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical Fitness: Please maintain a regular walking routine of approximately 5–7 km per day in the weeks leading up to the tour to ensure you are adequately prepared for the trek.
  • Transparency: Please inform our tour guide of any existing health conditions or allergies at the start of the journey so we can support you best.
