ITINERARY
Sapa – Ta Phin Valley – Red Dao Village – Sapa

Today, we will visit Ta Phin Commune, located about 14 km southeast of Sapa Town. Set in a large valley surrounded by high mountains, pine trees, and forest, Ta Phin is home to the Red Dao and Black H’mong ethnic communities. Although these two groups have lived close to each other for many years, they have distinct cultural characteristics and traditions.

After a short drive to the center of the valley, we begin an easy walk along village paths through the valley. Along the way, we will visit Black H’mong hamlets scattered from the valley floor to the higher mountain slopes. From higher points on the route, you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley stretching below.

We then continue walking to a Red Dao village, where you will meet local women making traditional handicrafts such as embroidered clothing, handbags, and other handmade items.

After the visit, transfer back to Sapa. End of the trip.

  • This is a multi-day trekking route with challenging terrain, ranking among the ten highest peaks in Vietnam. If you have no prior mountaineering experience or engage in little physical exercise, it is recommended that you prepare your fitness level in advance before the trip (please refer to the Physical Preparation Recommendations section).
