WHY THIS TOUR?

This tour is a great choice for travelers who want to see many sides of Hanoi in one ride: its history, local life, hidden corners, and iconic landmarks. Instead of following a typical sightseeing route, you will cycle from the historic Long Bien Bridge, built in 1902 across the Red River, through local markets and backstreets to Banana Island, then continue to the colorful Quang An Flower Market, the scenic West Lake area, and Tran Quoc Pagoda, widely known as Hanoi’s oldest pagoda. The journey also brings you past memorable city highlights such as B52 Lake, Hanoi Train Street, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, and the Hanoi Opera House, making it ideal for travelers who want a richer, more authentic, and more photogenic way to experience the capital.

ITINERARY
Duration: halfday day biking tour (4 hours – 20km total)

7:30 Meet your guide at your hotel. After a short briefing on the bike, safety gear, and route, begin your cycling journey through Hanoi with a ride to the historic Long Bien Bridge, the city’s first steel bridge spanning the Red River, built in 1902.

From here, continue through local markets and quiet backstreets to Banana Island, a peaceful area where you can see banana plantations, fruit gardens, vegetable farms, and a floating village on the Red River. For the night tour, this stop may be replaced by the vibrant Long Bien Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market.

The route continues to Quang An Flower Market and part of West Lake, offering a colorful glimpse of local life and one of Hanoi’s most scenic areas. We then visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a historic symbol of Vietnamese Buddhism, and B52 Lake, where the remains of a downed American bomber can still be seen.

The journey also passes the outside of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and continues to Hanoi Train Street, one of the city’s most unique attractions. Two more highlights, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Hanoi Opera House, may be visited at either the beginning or the end of the tour.

The tour ends with a ride back to your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
