This wonderful cycling route takes you over Tram Ton Pass, also known as Heaven Gate, to explore the other side of Fansipan and the Hoang Lien Mountain Range.
At the beginning of the ride, you will tackle a short but challenging 3 km climb over the stunning Tram Ton Pass, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Hoang Lien Valley.
From there, the route becomes a thrilling 26 km downhill ride on a newly paved road descending through one of the most picturesque and inspiring valleys in the north. Surrounded by fresh mountain air and dramatic scenery, this section is one of the highlights of the trip.
After reaching Binh Lu Junction, turn off the main road and continue on a more moderate route. This section follows a sometimes rocky road along the base of the mountain range, passing old-growth forest and villages of the Thai, H’mong, and Lu ethnic communities.
Because this area receives fewer visitors, the ride offers a more authentic and peaceful experience, with many chances to stop, meet local people, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
At the end of the cycling route, the support vehicle will take you back to Sapa.
